Mesut Ozil 'man of the match' for Norwich 1 – 1 Arsenal

Arsenal team news

Mesut Ozil has been selected as man of the match for Arsenal’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Norwich.

The 27-year-old continued his impressive run of form with a goal against the Canaries mid-way though the first half.

Ozil received a rating of 7.8 from WhoScored. The Germany international made two key passes, two shots on target and maintained an impressive passing accuracy of 99%.

The Germany international scored his sides opening goal early on in the first half when he chipped the ball over Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy.

Arsenal looked set to record a comfortable win however, the Canaries managed to level the score going into the break.

The Gunners were unable to to find the winning goal meaning they were unable to capitalise on Manchester United’s draw with Leicester.

There was yet more disappointment as Alexis Sanchez picked up what looked to be a hamstring injury. Laurent Koscielny also came off injured to add to Arsenal’s injury woes.

Arsenal host Sunderland at the Emirates stadium next weekend in the Premier League.
