Arsenal extended their unbeaten streak to 21 games in all competitions after beating Huddersfield 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Mesut Ozil did not feature for the Gunners due to a back problem which also ruled him out of the Tottenham and Manchester United games.

The playmaker of Turkish origin has not played for five games in all competitions now.

There have been rumors that Ozil has fallen out with head coach Unai Emery and that he does not fit into the current style of play but he has been supportive of the team following every game he has not played in.

Ozil had the following to say on Twitter following the win.

The 30-year-old did return to training and was in contention to make the matchday squad heading into the game.

Arsenal fans were generally pretty supportive with their comments following his tweet.

Ozil is likely to recover in time for Southampton game next weekend but it remains to be seen whether Unai Emery will make use of him.

The Gunners take on Qarabag first in the Europa League on Thursday but Ozil has rarely played in the group stage thus far this term.

The victory moved the Gunners into 3rd place in the league.
