Mesut Ozil has returned to Arsenal pre-season training amid transfer speculation from the Turkish media linking him with a move to Fenerbahce.
Turkish-Football reported yesterday that Ozil will not be joining Fenerbahce this summer and will be remaining at Arsenal.
The playmaker reported for training today at London Colney HQ ahead of the new season with club legend Freddie Ljungberg joining as a coach.
The 30-year-old got married to former Miss World Turkey Amine Gulse over the summer and only recently returned from a holiday in Bodrum.
Ozil shared a photograph from the first training session on his social media channels.
The 2014 World Cup winner has another two years remaining on his Arsenal contract.
The North London outfit will head to the United States this summer for the Champions Cup where they will face Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and Real Madrid.
Following their return from the United States the Gunners will face French outfit Lyon in the Emirates Cup before a friendly against Angers in France.
The Gunners will play Newcastle on August 11 in their first Premier League game of the season.
