Mesut Ozil to Man Utd: Bookies state that Arsenal star could leave Gunners ‘despite’ new deal

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United and PSG, despite recently penning a contract extension with the north London based club.

Ozil’s has come under fire from Arsenal legend Martin Keown and fans following a disappointing performance in the Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told Starsport, “Despite signing a mega contract extension earlier this year, we’re already looking at where Ozil will be playing next.”

“As things stand it’s PSG who are leading the way in the race for his signature.”

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have set Ligue 1 champions Paris St-Germain as favourites while Manchester United are priced at 4/1.

However, it seems unlikely that Ozil – who is settled in London – will be pushing for a move away from Arsenal just months after signing a mega £350,000-a-week contract.

The 29-year-old has registered four goals and nine assists in 26 Premier League appearances this term.

Ozil missed Arsenal’s final game of the season due to a back injury but is expected to be ready for Germany’s World Cup opener against Mexico on June 17.
