Mesut Ozil wins third consecutive Arsenal Player of the Month award

Mesut Özil has won his third consecutive Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month award after being awarded the best player in January according to Gunners fans.

Özil picked up a hat-trick in awards picking up 81.2 percent of the public vote for the month of December.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, who scored six times in December, was in second place and goalkeeper Petr Cech came in at third according to the official Arsenal site.

Özil has now won the highest number of Player of the Month awards for the year 2015.

The 27-year-old had another impressive month scoring against Bournemouth and providing assists against Sunderland, Aston Villa and two against Manchester City.

The World Cup winner has provided a total of 16 assists in 19 Premier League games this season as well as three goals.

No other player has created as many chances in the league this season (84) and the highest number of assists in Europe’s top five leagues – England, Germany, Italy, Spain, France.
