Mesut Ozil’s Agent Confirms Premier League Clubs Want Turkey International Star

Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici has been closely linked with a move to Arsenal this season.

Yazici’s agent Erkut Sogut has opened up about the future of his client.

Sogut revealed that Yazici has received offers from the Premier League, as well as Germany and Italy.

“He was born in born in 1997, he was selected among UEFA’s 50 most promising players. He is ahead of Cengiz Under, half of Europe is interested in Yusuf,” Sogut said.

“He is the most promising youngster in Turkey, he scored 10 goals in the league this season. His technique is brilliant, we have offers from Italy, from the Premier League, from Germany and Spain.”

Sogut did underline that in his opinion, Italy is probably the league best suited to his clients playing style. However, he has received most interest from the Premier League and Bundesliga.

“There are offers from Italy, but clubs from Germany and Italy are showing the most interest,” he added.

“If you ask me I think the Serie A is the perfect match for his playing style.”

Sogut, is also the agent of Mesut Ozil and has been using his ties to Arsenal to bring his client to the attention of the Gunners.

 

Trabzonspor have confirmed to Turkish-Football that they have received interest from Arsenal.

Additionally Ahmet Cebeci – one of Yazici’s representatives – said: “Yusuf wants a move to Europe, Erkut Sogut has been in talks with clubs and there is interest from the Premier League, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger watched Yusuf in person.”

Ozil has been full of praise for Yazici.

The playmaker of Turkish origin told the Hurriyet newspaper: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents. 

“Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10. 

“We have a lot of similarities and I myself in him. 

“His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball. 

“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”

The Black Sea based outfit value the 21-year-old as being worth £17.5 million.

Yazici provided an assist in the 2-1 victory over Iran on Monday and is expected to feature against Tunisia in Switzerland this evening.
