Miranda – ‘Arda Turan is a great player’ –
Brazil national team defender Miranda has praised his Atletico Madrid teammate Arda Turan ahead of the international game against Turkey.
“Arda is a great player, capable of making the difference,” Miranda said.
“We have to take precautions against a player like Arda and we know we are in for a tough game tomorrow.
“We are a team who focuses on defending a lot more now.
“In times gone by Brazil was renowned for attacking based football but we had problems in defence and that is what we are trying to solve.
“We have become a far more defensive side since the appointment of Dunga.”
Miranda and Turan played together at Atletico Madrid and helped guide the Rojiblancos to their first La Liga title in 18 years.
Atleti also made the Champions League final which they lost against rivals Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old defender is expected to play against Turkey tomorrow.
