Motta apologises for conceding penalty against Liverpool [divider]
Beşiktaş left-back Ramon Motta apologised for conceding the penalty that resulted in Liverpool winning the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg tie 1-0.
Motta fouled Ibe Jordan inside the penalty area on 85 minutes to hand Liverpool a soft penalty.

Mario Balotelli converted from the spot kick to give the Reds a one goal advantage going into the second leg.
Motta shared a picture from the game on his instagram account alongside the caption, “I want to apologise for yesterday, nobody wants to make mistakes but this is football, hopefully with your support at the Olympic stadium we can progress to the next round.”
Motta also picked up a yellow card which ruled him out of the second leg due to suspension.
The Brazilian fullback had a nervous game and only managed a 58 percent pass accuracy.
Turkish international Ismail Koybaşı is expected to replace Motta next week.
Beşiktaş beat Liverpool the last time they faced them in Istanbul back in the 2007-08 Champions League group stages.
