Jose Mourinho has given the green light for Tottenham to enter talks with Fenerbahce rising star Altay Bayindir according to Fotomac.

Per the source, Spurs sent a club official to Turkey to keep tabs on Bayindir.

Mourinho is reported to be keen on the 21-year-old keeper as he makes plans for next season.

The north London outfit have yet to make an offer for Bayindir but are expected to before the end of the season.

Michel Vorm is out of contract at the end of the season but Tottenham do have 33-year-old Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga as their goalkeeper options.

Fenerbahce value Bayindir as being worth £20m so it remains to be seen how he would fit into Tottenham’s goalkeeper pecking order.

If Spurs see Bayindir as a backup option Fenerbahce could struggle to receive an offer that matches their valuation.

Additionally, Turkish-Football have also reported Sheffield United as being interested in Bayindir.

With Dean Henderson set to return to Manchester United on loan at the end of the season they could end up needing a new keeper.

Bayindir joined Fenerbahce on a €1.5m move from Ankaragucu last summer and has another three-years remaining on his current contract.
