Mustafa Pektemek is close to agreeing a contract extension with Besiktas according to the Turkish newspaper AMK.
The former Genclerbirligi striker was originally holding out for a €1.7 million per season offer but has agreed to Besiktas’s final offer of a four year deal at €1.3 million per season.
Pektemek is expected to sign the contract extension with the Black Eagles by the end of the month.
Besiktas have already agreed contract extentions with Ersan Gulum, Cenk Gonen and Veli Kavlak this month.
The 26-year-old has been out of first team action since suffering a facial injury during his sides 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor.
Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman confirmed that Fenerbaçe have made an offer for Mustafa Pektemek
“I do not think Mustafa will leave,” Orman told NTV Spor.
“I cannot see it happening, Fenerbahçe made his agent an offer but I do not see it going ahead, he is happy at Beşiktaş and I do not see him leaving.”
Pektemek is free to enter direct talks with other clubs due to his contract set to run out at the end of the season.
Pektemek has one assist and scored two goals in 14 appearances for the Istanbul Giants this season.
