Celtic striker Nadir Çiftçi made his debut in the 2-0 win over Icelandic side Stjarnan.
The Bhoys boss Ronnie Deila revealed that he was pleased with the performance of new signings Çiftçi and Boyata – who also made a debut – in his post-match press conference.
“Both of them have something to give us,” he told the Guardian in the post match press conference.
“Boyata played very well and scored a goal. I’m very satisfied with him.”
Celtic had a £1.5 million bid accepted earlier this week Çiftçi. The Turkish international signed a four-year contract with the Scottish giants.
Çiftçi had an impressive season for Dundee United last season scoring 12 goals in 34 league matches.
The 23-year-old striker ended the season as the forth top scorer in the Scottish Premier League
The Turkish international has previously played for Portsmouth, Kayserispor in Turkey and NAC Breda in Holland. Çiftçi joined Dundee on a free transfer from NAC Breda last summer.

Karabağ – Rudar: 0-0
Malmö – Zalgiris: 0-0
