Ndombele Will Not be Sent Back to Tottenham After Burger Scandal Reports

Tanguy Ndombele has not been dropped from the squad according to L’Equipe reporter Loic Tanzi.

Tanzi revealed that Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is still counting on Ndombele, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise.

Ndombele has only played 123 minutes in seven appearances for Galatasaray since joining the club in the summer.

Tanzi claims that Ndombele is currently sidelined due to an injury to his adductor.

Reports in Turkiye claimed that Ndombele had been dropped after being caught trying to smuggle hamburgers into his hotel room following the Champions League Match Day 3 game against Bayern Munich last week.

The Tottenham loanee has been criticised for being overweight and the same reports claim that he has not worked hard enough to shed the pounds.

Galatasaray were reported to be considering terminating Ndombele’s loan stay early and sending him back to Tottenham over the winter transfer window.

The Red-Yellows do have an option to buy the midfielder which will run until the end of the season but it is not an obligation to buy so the loan can be terminated.

It appears that Ndombele will remain at Galatasaray and that manager Okan Buruk does still have faith in the midfielder.

Galatasaray are currently second in the Champions League Group A and the Super Lig table.
