West Ham boss Slaven Bilic believes that summers signing Gokhan Tore is a special player who will help take the club to the next level.
Bilic underlined that he wanted to see Tore at the club for the past season and recalled his time in charge of the explosive winger when he was at Besiktas.
“I really wanted Tore at the club, I worked with him for two seasons so I know he is a special player,” Bilic told Fanatik.
Bilic did however, reveal that Tore must work on his consistency and that if he performs to his maximum capacity regularly he will establish himself as one of the most exciting players in the league.
“He does need to work on his consistency but if does that he will be something else,” he added.
“I know what he is capable of and in my opinion he has the potential to become the best Turkish player out there.
“Gokhan and the signings we made this summer will take West Ham to the next level.”
Tore established himself as one of the most sought after players in the league following his two year stint under the stewardship of Slaven Bilic at Besiktas.
The explosive winger has joined West Ham on a one-year loan deal but the East London based club have the option to sign him on a permanent deal by the end of the season.
The 24-year-old winger is coming off the back of winning the Turkish Super Lig with Besiktas – the first time he has won a league title in his career.
Tore is no stranger to life in London having first made a name for himself as a Chelsea youth.
