Newcastle and Aston Villa set for talks with World Cup star who has a 10 day deadline

Premier League duo Newcastle United and Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Kasimpasa forward Trezeguet.

The Egypt international spent the season on loan at Kasimpasa and joined on a permanent deal earlier this summer after they matched his release clause.

However, Trezeguet is still expected to leave the Istanbul based club in the coming weeks.

According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, Trezeguet’s representatives are set to hold talks with both Newcastle and Villa.

Per the source, the 23-year-old is keen on a move to England this summer.

The report goes onto state that Galatasaray are also in the race to sign the Egyptian international. In fact, the Lions have already reached an agreement in principle for Trezeguet.

However, Trezeguet has told Galatasaray officials that he will speak with Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Galatasaray have given Trezeguet a ten-day deadline to decide upon his future.

Trezeguet provided eight assists and scored 16 goals in 33 appearances for Kasimpasa this season.
