Defender transfer from Newcastle to Galatasaray vetoed by Igor Tudor due to player being too short
Full-back Vurnon Anita has been offered to Galatasaray through his agent according to reports in Turkey.
Fotospor claim that Anita’s agent held talks with the Lions over a summer move.
Per the source, the club expressed an interest in the proposal and head coach Igor Tudor was informed.
The defender was expected to join the Lions after his contract with Newcastle United reached an end.

The former Juventus defender was however, left unimpressed by Anita’s size.
The full-back measures in at 1.66 metres, Tudor meanwhile, told the board that he wants tall, powerful defenders next season.
Anita scored three times and provided six assists in 155 appearances for the Magpies since joining from Ajax in 2012.
The Netherlands international had one assist in 31 appearances for Newcastle in the Championship last season.
Despite playing a role in the Magpies promotion to the Premier League, he was not offered a new deal.
Galatasaray have made signing a new full-back a priority but it appears the search for defensive reinforcements will have to continue as far as Tudor is concerned.
