Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun continues to attract Premier League interest after an impressive start to the season.

The Sun became the latest newspaper to report Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Tottenham as being among the sides scouting Tosun.

Turkish-Football also confirmed reports that the three clubs mentioned above have been keeping tabs on the 26-year-old a few weeks back.

Besiktas are now demanding £22.4 million [€25m] for the striker who has two-years remaining on his contract.

With Crystal Palace in disarray and Tottenham having not desperately in need of a striker Newcastle look a more viable option for Tosun.

The level of spending Magpies boss Rafael Benitez has at his disposal in January could hinge on whether a takeover at Newcastle United comes to fruition, according to reports in The Northern Echo.

Per the source, Benitez wants to sign a centre-forward and a left-back over the winter transfer window.

Tosun is among the names on the Newcastle shortlist.

The powerful striker has seven goals in all competitions this season including a brace for Turkey against Finland mid-week.

The Turkish international already has a Champions League goal of the week award under his belt for his finish in the 3-1 win over Porto.

Besiktas are currently first in the Champions League Group G and have won the Super Lig for the pas two seasons.
