Newcastle United have joined Liverpool in the race for Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Abdulkadir Omur according to reports in Turkey.
Fanatik published the story today citing reports in England. Meanwhile, The Sun had a story the previous day citing reports in Turkey.
It may appear to be another case of the classic transfer rumor merry-go-round getting lost in translation but Turkish-Football reached out to Trabzonspor who confirmed the Magpies have been scouting their star man.
In fact, the Super Lig outfit made it clear that several Premier League sides have been keeping tabs on their star man including Liverpool.
Trabzonspor have received offers for the 19-year-old but none which match their €20m valuation.
Additionally, the Black Sea based side do not want to sell Omur this in January but are open to an end of season exit.

UEFA nicknamed Omur the ‘Turkish Messi’ in 2015 and he was named in the Guardian 2016 Next Generation series as a player to keep a close eye on.
Omur has gone onto become a first-team star for Trabzonspor despite his young age, scoring two and providing four assists this term.
The Black Sea based side are currently second in the Super Lig, six points behind leaders Basaksehir.
