Turkey international midfielder Okay Yokuslu has attacked the attention of a raft of Premier League clubs in recent months.
The defensive midfield appears to be well suited to English football with his strong physique and quality on the ball.
We recently reported that Leceister City sent scouts to monitor the young midfielder’s performances.
A source close to Trabzonspor has now revealed to Turkish-Football that Newcastle United have also expressed an interest in Yokuslu.
Per the source, Newcastle United scouts are set to watch Yokuslu during Trabzonspor’s clash with Osmanlispor in Ankara on Monday night. Furthermore, Newcastle officials have enquired about the availability of the star midfielder.
According to the Turkish outlet Milliyet, Yokuslu has a remarkably low release clause at just £6.6 million. The Milliyet goes onto state that Trabzonspor are open to selling the midfielder this summer.
Newcastle United are back in action this weekend when they take on Arsenal in the Premier League.
