Newcastle United outcast Matz Sels has attracted the interest of Fenerbahce according to Fotomac.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries have expressed an interest in signing the Belgium keeper.

The Istanbul based outfit are prepared to offer €3m for the Newcastle man.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave Newcastle over the summer transfer window after falling further down the pecking order after the club made Martin Dubravka’s loan deal from Sparta Prague permanent.

Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow are already in the squad, which will make it difficult for Selz to break into the squad.

Selz spent last season on loan at RSC Anderlecht. The Belgium giants reportedly wanted to keep the goalkeeper on a permanent deal but talks with Newcastle broke down over a disagreement over the player’s value.

The keeper joined Newcastle on a £5.94m [Transfermarkt] move from Genk in 2016 but has made just 14 appearances in all competitions.

Fenerbahce finished the 2017-18 Super Lig campaign as runners-up booking a place in the Champions League playoff stage in the process.
