Newcastle scouting target set to start for reigning Turkish champions in Super Lig clash
Besiktas take on Akhisar in the Super Lig at the Vodafone Arena on Friday evening.
The Black Eagles are expecting visitors from England heading into the clash.
Newcastle are set to send a scout to the game and the Champions League clash against Porto a few days later in the same stadium.
A source close to Besiktas did confirm to Turkish-Football that they are expecting scouts from Premier League sides including the Magpies.
Tosun has been in great form for Besiktas scoring 10 goals in 15 games – including four goals and an assist in the Champions League.
The Turkish international is match fit and likely to feature against Akhisar.
The Istanbul giants will be without star defender Pepe who will be rested ahead of the Porto clash.
Medel is likely to take his place in defence alongside centre-back Dusko Tosic but Mitrovic is also in contention.

Head coach Senol Gunes could give former Sunderland man Jeremain Lens a rare start as well.
Besiktas are currently five points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
The Istanbul giants have lifted the league title for the past two seasons.
