Newcastle team news: Rafa Benitez missing just one player, rising star Dan Barlaser not included in squad
Newcastle United take on Burnley in the Premier League knowing that a victory could take them into 6th place, ahead of Rafa Benitez’s former side Liverpool.
Benitez has just two missing players heading into the clash, with Paul Dummett and Dwight Gayle sidelined.
Rising star Dan Barlaser has not been included in the squad despite impressing for the reserves.
Barlaser scored a stunning long range goal for the Magpies U23 side in their 2-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Premier league International Cup.
The midfielder of Turkish origin has been included in the senior Newcastle provisional squad this season in the Premier League but has yet to make an appearance.
Newcastle have gone three league games without defeat but they have won just one of their last 15 games in the league this season.
Burnley meanwhile are missing Tom Heaton and Jonathon Walters while Dean Marney and Nakhi Wells are a doubt.
