Newcastle to make offer for £20m striker after impressing scouts at last Champions League
Newcastle United sent scouts to monitor Besiktas star striker Cenk Tosun in the 1-1 Champions League Group G Match Day 4 clash against Monaco.
Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that the Magpies have been keeping close tabs on Tosun and that they sent scouts in person for the game at the Vodafone Arena.
Per the source, the Newcastle scouts were yet again impressed with Tosun and made it clear they will be making an offer in January.
The 26-year-old found the back of the net against Monaco on Wednesday 1 November.

Tosun took his Champions League goal tally up to four goals and one assist this season.
The Turkish international became the highest scoring Besiktas player in the Champions League in the process.
Tosun scored the Champions League goal of the week for his strike in the 3-1 win over Porto on Match Day 1.
The star forward also scored the goal of the group stages for his volley in the 3-3 draw against Benfica last season.

Tosun has another two-years remaining on his contract and is valued as being worth £20 million Besiktas.
Besiktas have a 98 percent chance of booking a place in the next round of the Champions League.
The Black Eagles are currently first in Group G on 10 points after four games and could book a place in the Last 16 even if they lose their next two games.
