Newcastle United are gearing up a big-money move for Galatasaray’s star winger Garry Rodrigues.
The Magpies had a £7 million bid for the Cape Verde international rejected back in January however, Newcastle have not given up hopes of signing Rodrigues.
According to the daily Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Newcastle are preparing a bid in the region of £20 million for the 27-year-old.
The transfer report comes shortly after Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley promised to back manager Rafa Benitez in the transfer market this summer.
Rodrigues has been in impressive form of late and was the star of the show during Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Malatyaspor on Saturday.

The Dutch Born winger provided the assist for the Lions opener and scored his sides second.
Galatasaray can secure their 21’st Turkish Super Lig title with a point this weekend when they travel to Izmir to take on Goztepe.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United wrapped up the season in 10th spot following a 3-0 win over Chelsea.
