Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet is nearing a move to the Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor.
According to the Turkish outlet Olay, the Green Crocodiles have been locked in negotiations with Newcastle for the Senegal international.
Per the source, Bursaspor have agreed a deal to sign Saivet on a season-long loan deal.
The report goes onto state that personal terms with the 27-year-old have also been agreed and that he is expected to arrive in Bursa this week.
Bursaspor’s newly appointed manager Samet Aybaba has played a key role in negotiations. The experienced Turkish tactician worked with Saivet last season at Sivasspor.
Saivet has been linked with a move away from Newcastle after falling out of favour with manager Rafa Benitez. The midfielder has three-years remaining on his contract with the Magpies.
The Senegal international provided two assists in 12 Turkish Super Lig games last season after joining Sivasspor in January.
