Newcastle United midfielder strikes deal with Turkish club – set for loan move 

Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saviet is set to complete a move to Turkey Super Lig club Sivasspor.

According to SkySports, Saviet has arrived in Turkey earlier today and is on the brink of joining Sivasspor for the rest of the season.

The Senegal international joined Newcastle United for £5 million back in 2016. However, he has made just four appearances since making the move.

Saviet spent last season out on loan at Ligue 1 club St Etienne however, the 27-year-old failed to settle in and was allowed to return to Newcastle last summer.

Sivasspor have been in impressive form in the Turkish Super Lig and find themselves in eight spots with 27 points after 19 games. Saviet could make his debut when The Yigidos face Istanbul giants Galatasaray this weekend.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United take on Burnley FC tonight in the Premier League as they look to return to winning ways.Rafa Benitez’s side have recorded just one win in their last five games.
