Newcastle United transfer news: Magpies to table new offer for international winger Rodrigues
Newcastle United haven’t given up their pursuit of Galatasaray star winger Gary Rodrigues.
The Magpies tabled an offer for the 26-year-old over the summer transfer window however, Galatasaray turned down the offer.
A source close to the Istanbul giants has revealed to Turkish-Football that Newcastle United have maintained their interest in Rodrigues. Per the source, Newcastle are still in contract with Galatasaray and are preparing a new improved offer in January.
Netherlands-born Cape Verde international has four-years remaining on his contract with Galatasaray. Rodrigues has been in impressive form for the Lions and has established himself as a first team regular in Igor Tudor’s side.

Newcastle United held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw in their last Premier League fixture and face Southampton this weekend. Galatasaray meanwhile will be looking to maintain their winning run when they take on Konyaspor.
Rodrigues has registered three assists in nine appearances for Galatasaray so far this season.
