Emre Can will sit out of Liverpool’s clash with Newcastle United in the Premier League today.

The Reds will be looking continue their run of form under Jurgen Klopp when they travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.

The Germany international was ruled out when he received a yellow card during the Red’s 6-1 win over Southampton in the League Cup.

Can has played an important role in Liverpool’s midfield since the arrival of manager Jurgen Klopp. The Germany international provided an assist for Daniel Sturridge during Liverpool’s mid-week victory.

Liverpool have the chance to move up into 5th place if they record a victory this weekend.
