Emre Can has been ruled out for Liverpool’s clash with Newcastle United in the Premier League today.
Liverpool will be looking continue their impressive run of results under Jurgen Klopp when they travel to St James’ Park to take on Steve McClaren’s struggling Newcastle.
The 21-year-old midfielder was ruled out when he received a yellow card during the Red’s 6-1 win over Southampton in the League Cup.
Can has been in impressive form of late and has been a prominent part of Liverpool’s midfield since the arrival of manager Jurgen Klopp. The Germany international provided an assist during Liverpool’s mid-week victory.
Can now has one assist and one goal for Liverpool in 21 appearances this season. Liverpool have the chance to move up into 5th place if they record a victory this weekend.
