“No chance” – Ex Arsenal star admits he prefers Chelsea playmaker over Mesut Ozil
Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has revealed that he prefers Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas over Mesut Ozil.
The two players could come face to face this weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. The game takes place on Sunday, kick-off is scheduled for 13:30 (GMT).
Fabregas previously captained Arsenal before making a move to Barcelona. The Spain international made a controversial return to the Premier League when he joined Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea in 2014.
Merson has stated that he would select Fabregas over Ozil during his appearance on SkySport’s The Debate show.

“No chance, not when the big games come along,” Merson stated when asked whether he would pick Ozil over Fabregas.
“Fabregas makes things happen, he’s the one who turns up a lot more times for me.
“I’m a big fan of Fabregas.”
Ozil made the move to Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42 million back in September 2013. The 28-year-old has been under fire in recent weeks following several inconsistent performances.
Arsene Wenger rested Ozil during the week in preparation for this weekend’s London derby.
