Liverpool midfielder Emre Can was not named in the preliminary Germany national team squad selection.
The midfielder of Turkish origin will probably not feature in the Reds Champions League final against Real Madrid at the end of May.
Can has been out with a back problem since before the last international break.
The 24-year-old came off injured during the 5-0 victory over Watford.
The midfielder was not expected to be out for a lengthy period of time but he has yet to return to action.
There was little love loss, quite a few Liverpool fans saw Can missing out on the Germany national side as being karma.
Turns out that Can became to me an ungrateful player. I question his decision to leave lfc, since we are one of the promising teams in europe and he has an important role in klopp’s mind. But he became absent, like if he’s already a Juventus player. Didn’t expect that from him.

I’m sure we will not miss him . Hot and cold. Held onto ball too long . Keita when bursting forward in similar mode renowned for great through passes to forwards not running down dead ends

Emre Can, cheers for the memories, but it’s your loss mate.
Auf Wiedersehen.

Emre Can not in Germany’s provisional World Cup squad. Couldn’t be bothered to say goodbye to the fans at Anfield either – as pointed out by @AnfieldRoad96. He can do one.

Emre Can’t be arsed to say good bye. We don’t need him anyway.

Emre Can no even good like that.
Liverpool should sell him and use the money to build a Mosque for Salah, Mane and Keita at Anfield.I reckon £6M can do that.

Emre Can has not been included in Germany’s provisional squad for the World Cup.

Anyone else reckon Klopp has binned Emre Can completely as a result of him not signing a new contract?
— Carl (@Carl_M79) May 14, 2018
Looks like Emre Can’t… sorry couldn’t resist!

This seems to have been the final straw, apparently Can did not turn up on Sunday to say farewell to the fans with the rest of his teammates. He did not bother to leave a message on social media either.
Emre Can was in Germany while the rest of the team said their thank you & goodbye’s at Anfield. Injured or not you can appreciate the fans for their support throughout the season. Now he’s not included in Germany’s provisional squad for the World Cup.
Handled it very badly imo.— – ?? (@AnfieldRd96) May 15, 2018
no goodbye to fans at anfield = karma.. no world cup & no champions league final. well done emre can hun xx
— gemma?? (@gemmaleigh__) May 15, 2018
Emre Can was in Germany for our last game at home, whilst the team were saying thanks and enjoying the day he’s nowhere to be seen.
There won’t be one moment next season we’re I’ll say, I wish we still had Can, he’d have made a difference. He won’t be missed.

Savage!
No World Cup or champions league final for Emre Can
Life comes at you quick

Not everyone had bad words for Can.
Who cares? He’s played through his contract without gripes. Couldn’t come to terms so he’s moving on. He’s been a professional and scored a huge goal for us last year. He’s done right as far as I can see.

Seen a lot of people having a go at Emre Can today for not being at Anfield on Sunday. Very well could be that Klopp didn’t want him there to avoid having a distraction at such a key fixture. Emre gave his all while he was here and it’s an unfortunate ending let’s leave it there.
