It appears the warm weather and sun in Dubai has done Everton’s £26 million signing Cenk Tosun the world of good.
The Turkey international made the move to Everton from Besiktas over the January transfer window. However, Tosun has struggled to settle in at the Merseyside based club and has found himself dropped from the starting eleven.
Manager Sam Allardyce decided not to use Tosun in the Toffees last two games but stated that he hoped the striker could get up to speed during the mid-season break in Dubai.
Allardyce’s decision appears to have worked as they Turkey international has been in impressive form in training. In a video released by the club, Tosun is seen powering the ball into the back of the net.
Everton coach Duncan Ferguson also heaped praise on Tosun following his performances in training.
“Cenk has settled in well, he’s looked sharp in training and has been knocking a few goals in. We are made up with him,” Duncan Ferguson told Everton’s official website.
“Obviously, he has had a bit of time in Dubai to get to know the lads and settle in a bit better but there will be big things for Cenk. We are looking to kick on with him.”
The noise coming out of Everton regarding their striker has excited fans who believe that Allardyce no longer has any excuses not to pick the former Besiktas man.

Tosun‘s hold up play certainly seems to be coming along, note how many times he receives the ball back to goal.. Would hope he’s lined up to get a start against Watford #EFC https://t.co/ISQOQBbvuQ
