‘There are offers’ – Man United & Tottenham target Cengiz Under receives bids

Basaksehir star Cengiz Under has attracted interest from England and France according to head coach Abdullah Avci.

The Istanbul minnows head coach was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying: “There are clubs interested, we have offers from England and France but we want him to stay for another season.

“It is in everyones best interests if he stays at this next season.”

Under has been closely linked with Manchester United, Tottenham and Lille.

The 19-year-old played a key role in Basaksehir defying the odds and finishing the league campaign as runners-up.

The Istanbul minnows also reached the Turkish Cup final.

Under featured in 47 of Basaksehir’s 50 games this season, scoring nine times and providing seven assists.

Turkish-Football recently reported that the Red Devils and Tottenham have been monitoring the Basaksehir youngster nicknamed Turkish Dybala.

beIn Sport pundit Ekrem Eksioglu revealed on the Cafe Spor program that Tottenham and Manchester United are plotting a move for the 19-year-old.

Eksioglu also revealed that Lille are interested in Under but had a £4 million [€5m] offer rejected.

“Lille made Basaksehir a €5 million bid which was immediately turned down,” Eksioglu said.

“Basaksehir want a lot more.

“They know they have Manchester United as well as Tottenham on their doorstep monitoring the situation closely and are in no rush to make a decision.

“Like what happened with Enes Unal and Manchester City they plan to sign Under and then loan him out so that he can continue developing by playing first team football.”
