On-loan Chelsea defender Omeruo recovers in time for Besiktas clash

On-loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has recovered from an injury that ruled him out of action against Egypt over the international break.

The Nigerian international was unable to represent his country in the AFCON qualifiers.

Omeruo was expected to miss the clash against Besiktas in the mini Istanbul derby but he has recovered just in time and is likely to start for Kasimpasa.

The 22-year-old defender has made 19 appearances in all competitions and has been a key player for the Istanbul minnows this season.

Besiktas will move seven points clear – with a game in hand – over second placed Fenerbahce with a victory tonight but Kasimpasa can still make the top four and will be no pushovers at home.
