On-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has suffered an injury blow that will keep him out for at least two-weeks.
The Serbian international tore his thigh during Fenerbahce’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of Antalyaspor yesterday at the Antalya stadium.
Markovic started against the Scorpions and has established himself as a first team regular under the stewardship of Yellow Canaries boss Vitor Pereira.
The 21-year-old has already passed his goal and assist tally of last season scoring twice and setting up three goals despite a lengthy injury during the first half of the season.
Markovic has featured in the Yellow Canaries last eight league games and started in the last six – all of which have ended in victories except the Antalyaspor defeat.
The Serbian star joined Liverpool on a £17.5 million transfer fee from Benfica under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers but was loaned to Fenerbahce over the summer on a one-year deal.
