Germany beat Czech Republic 2-1 at the Eden Arena in Prague to win their seventh World Cup qualifier in Group C.
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil started for Germany and played a key role in the opening goal setting up Timo Werner with an assist inside the first five minutes.
The assist was Ozil’s first this season for club and country.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil’s performance for Germany on social media.
The fans were generally impressed. In fact so impressed that they questioned why he does not perform the same for them on a regular basis.

Welbeck finishes an effort on goal and Ozil suddenly learns how to track back. There will be many confused Arsenal fans tonight. //t.co/p0EDJLll0Y

Does Ozil deserve more praise? is he unfairly treated in the Premier League or should he provide more for the North London outfit?
Believe it or not he does this for us week in and week out,we just too focused on negative bashing

Why do people need to see Mesut Ozil doing this to appreciate him. Pathetic
— Woz (@wozthegooner) September 1, 2017
Well because most fans can’t make their own opinions so they just follow the media and pundits agenda against him

That’s the same Özil every week. Shame some ignore that because it doesn’t fit their agendas

Most chances created
Most crosses completed
Most assistsBut man wants a 50:50
