“Ozil was anonymous” – Club Legend slams Arsenal trio and heaps praise on Tottenham’s Harry Kane

Mesut Ozil

Arsenal legend Liam Brady has slammed the clubs attacking trio following the north London derby.

Arsene Wenger decided to field Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Tottenham last weekend.

However, Arsenal’s attacking lineup were outclassed by Tottenham striker Harry Kane who scored the games winning goal.

Kane currently tops the Premier League scoring charts with 23 goals.

The former Republic of Ireland midfielder Brady heaped praise on the Tottenham striker while hammering the efforts of Arsenal’s star trio.

“They were terrible. Ozil was anonymous, Aubameyang offered nothing and Mkhitaryan has made all sorts of mistakes on the ball,” Brady said on BeIN Sports after the match.

“Harry Kane scored a great goal but his effort, compared to our three star players, was a distance apart. Kane worked harder than all three of them put together.”

Ozil recently put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal with the north London based club making him the highest paid player in Arsenal’s history.

Arsene Wenger’s side will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Swedish side Ostersunds FK in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Europa League may prove to be Arsenal’s best chance of UEFA Champions League football next season. The Gunners find themselves in sixth spot after 27 games and eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
