Caglar Soyuncu is set to arrive in England shortly after boarding a flight with his agent Mustafa Dogru.
Soyuncu was granted his work permit today and will join his Leicester City teammates for the first time since completing his move from Freiburg on transfer deadline day.
Dogru informed Turkish-Football on Monday that the initial transfer fee was £18.3m [€20.5m] and could rise to £20m [€22.5m] with bonuses.
The transfer was subject to Soyuncu’s work permit being approved.
Twenty-five percent of the transfer fee will be paid to Altinordu who had a sell-on clause deal with the Bundesliga outfit from his transfer in 2016.
Leicester manager Claude Puel confirmed that the 22-year-old will join the team tonight but will not feature against Wolves at the King Power Stadium.
Puel said: “He is a Leicester player. We are happy and wish him a good welcome. He will arrive tonight. He will not be fit for this game. After a little injury, he will come back into training.”
