Leicester City completed the transfer of Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg on a £20m deal on transfer deadline day.

A source close to the player revealed that the fee would reach £20m including add-ons.

The Turkey international signed a five-year deal with the Premier League giants.

Soyuncu had kind words for his former club Freiburg after completing his move.

The 22-year-old shared a farewell message on his official Instagram page.

Soyuncu is not expected to make his debut for at least a fortnight after only recently recovering from a muscle injury.

The defender will become the second Turkish international in the league alongside Cenk Tosun and the fourth player of Turkish origin, joining Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster is also of part Turkish origin.
