(Photo) £20m Man City star provides injury updates as he nears full-fitness following long spell on sidelines
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media to provide an update on his injury situation.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined since last December after suffering a knee injury. Gundogan returned to first-team training this summer but didn’t feature in any pre-season games for City.
Manager Pep Guardiola has decided to ease Gundogan back into the team slowly. The former Dortmund star will miss the opening weeks of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Gundogan stated that he is happy to be nearing full-fitness but that he understands that his recovery is a slow process that requires patience.
