Mesut Ozil has endured a difficult summer following Germany’s disastrous performance at the 2018 World Cup.
The Arsenal playmaker has now also been included in French newspaper L’Equipe’s worst XI’s of the tournament.
L’Equipe is renowned for its harsh player ratings and they did not hold back when it came to Mesut Ozil.
The 29-year-old received a rating of three out of ten, only Willy Caballero and Sami Khedira had a worse rating than Ozil.
The 29-year-old is set to return to pre-season training with Arsenal later this month and will travel with the squad for their tour of Asia.
