Arsenal star Mesut Ozil will not play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Last 16 second-leg clash at the Emirates today.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed that Ozil was not yet ready after missing the 3-1 defeat against Liverpool with an illness.
Wenger was quoted by the Express as saying: “I don’t think Mesut Ozil is ready physically to be in the squad [tomorrow].
“He should be OK for the weekend.”
Despite being deemed physically unready for the Bayern clash, Ozil decided to share a photograph of himself during team training.
Arsenal fans were left confused over the Ozil situation.
The photograph clearly shows Ozil involved in team training with his teammates.
Arsenal will have to turn around a 5-1 aggregate scoreline against Bayern if they are to book a place in the next round of the Champions League.
