Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has sent out a heartfelt message to his friends and family after penning a new Arsenal deal.
The 29-year-old put an end to reports linking him with an Arsenal exit when he signed a contract extension earlier this week.
Ozil took to social media to thank his friends and family who helped him come to the decision to extend his Arsenal stay.
The Germany international shared a photo of the moment he signed the new deal and included the following caption, “After signing my new contract with Arsenal it’s time to say ‘thank you’.
“I’m blessed to have a loyal team standing behind me and helping me in making the right decisions. First of all thanks to my family in Germany and especially my mum – without her love and prayers I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Arsenal are back in action next weekend when they take on their bitter north London rivals Tottenham.
