Barcelona star Arda Turan was spotted in London on Wednesday 8 February meeting with Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

Costa was celebrating the birthday of Blues Brazilian youngster Kenedy who turned 21 in a London restaurant with friends.

The striker shared a picture on his official Instagram account of the meal alongside friends but what really came as a surprise was his following post.

Costa shared a picture with former teammate Turan and shared it online.

The Turkish attacking midfielder also shared the same picture on his Instagram account alongside the caption: “My bro forever.”

Turan started for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final against his former club Atleti. Barca drew 1-1 to progress to the final but play again in the league on Saturday against Alaves.

The timing of Turan’s trip is a little unusual considering the La Liga giants have already started preparing for the weekend game.

Turan and Costa were teammates at Atleti, they have remained friends since parting ways.

In an interview with Bugun in 2015 Costa revealed that he also enjoyed playing alongside Turan and would want him by his side at Chelsea.

“I would really like to be reunited with him [Arda Turan] it would be fantastic because he is a player that makes my job easier,” Costa said.

Costa also stated that Turan makes an excellent kebab and that when Turan had food everybody would visit his house.

“He introduced us all to Turkish food. I really liked his kebabs and when he had food everybody would hover around his house for some,” Costa said.

Turan was linked with a move to Chelsea over the summer, the Sun reported that Antonio Conte was ‘keen’ on signing the Turkish international.

The 30-year-old’s agent Ahmet Bulut did however, deny rumours that his client wanted to leave over the summer.

“The interest [in Arda] is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club,” the agent, Ahmet Bulut, told Turkish-Football.com and Guardian reporter Emre Sarigul.
