Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-0 at Wembley in the Community Shield on Sunday 5 August.
Sergio Aguero scored a brace to win City their first trophy of the season.
Midfielder of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan came on as a second-half substitute, replacing Leroy Sane at the interval.
Gundogan gave his post-match reaction on his official Twitter account, sharing a photograph of the team celebrating the victory alongside the following message: “Best way to start the new season? thanks for your big support at wembley!.”

Gundogan was wearing a face-mask after an operation to fix a deviated septum following Germany’s World Cup exit.
He will continue wearing his facemask at the start of the season.
City kick off their defence of the Premier League title against Arsenal on Sunday 8 August at the Emirates.
