Photo: Chelsea Defender Bids Farewell To Kasimpasa Ahead Of Stamford Bridge Return

Kenneth Omeruo bid farewell to Kasimpasa ahead of his return to parent club Chelsea.

The Nigeria defender spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at the Turkish Super Lig outfit, and made 28 league appearances, scoring a goal in the process in what was his second stint at the club.

The Nigeria international played a total of 2407 minutes, averaging 1.7 tackles per-game.

The 24-year-old defender shared an Instagram photograph alongside a message thanking the club for another great season.

Omeruo wrote the following in his caption: “I want to say a big thanks to players, staffs, and management of Kasimpasa sk for believing in my abilities as a player… and the coach for helping me achieve my personal goal this season.. I am grateful and wish this amazing club a much better position next season..”

Kasimpasa finished the league campaign in 8th place.

Omeruo has enjoyed three loan spells in Turkey, two at Kasimpasa and one at Alanyaspor.

Despite being a Chelsea player, the defender has never actually played a game for the Blues.
