Davy Klaasen cost Everton £23.6 million [BBC] while shelling out £27 million on Cenk Tosun [BBC] this summer.
The star duo cost the Toffees in excess of £50 million but both are struggling for playing time.
Klaassen has actually been relegated to the reserves.
Tosun meanwhile is still a member of the first-team squad but has not start the last three games for the Merseyside based outfit.
Everton are currently on a mini training break in Dubai and the official club Twitter account gave an update regarding three players struggling for form, Klaassen, Tosun and Funes Mori.
All three players were pictured working on their fitness.

Sam Allardyce revealed that one of the reasons Tosun has not been playing is actually his fitness.
“He is struggling with the pace of the Premier League which happens to more players than it doesn’t who come in in January,” Allardyce said.
“He was up to scratch when he was playing but there is more demand at this level to get to the level and show the ability he has got. There is no doubting his goalscoring ability but you have to have the capabilities to get in those positions to score those goals and that is the hard bit.”
Perhaps Tosun will be able to convince Big Sam he is fit enough for Premier League football by the end of the Dubai trip.
