Cenk Tosun started on the bench for the fourth-successive game when Everton took on Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Turkey international was however, in for an unexpected surprise outside Vicarage Road Stadium.
A group of Besiktas fans turned up to welcome Tosun to the game.
Big Sam may have lost faith in the Turkey international but fans of his former club have not forgot about him.
Tosun was pictured greeting the group of fans that turned out for him.
The Toffees ended up losing the clash 1-0.
