Gimenez scored a late winner in a tightly contested game.

Galatasaray fans will be pleased to know Fernando Muslera started and kept a clean sheet.

To be fair he was not really tested but did make a few important saves and dealt well with aerial balls.

The star keeper shared a photograph of himself celebrating the victory on his official Instagram account afterward.

Uruguay take on Saudi Arabia next on Wednesday 20 June at 16:00 GMT.

Muslera will make his 99th appearance against the Saudi’s – should he start.
