Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has heaped praise on his teammate Phil Foden following Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win.
The Citizens registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Oxford United to advance to the next round.
Gundogan came on midway through the second half while Foden scored his side’s third goal in the 92nd minute.
Following the final whistle, Gundogan took to social media to congratulate the 19-year-old on his first goal for the club.
“Commanding win with a great result in the Carabao Cup.
“Congrats to Phil Foden for his first goal for Man City – hopefully many more to come!”
Man City are back in action this weekend when they host Brighton at the Etihad.
