Photo: ‘Great Feeling’ Tottenham Striker Gives Injury Update, Could Make Return Ahead Of Derby Against Besiktas

Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen has had a torrid time out on loan at Fenerbahce this season.

The Dutch international has now been out for 164 days, missing a total of 27 games for the Yellow Canaries with a toe injury picked up in December against Bursaspor.

Janssen was expected to miss the rest of the season but has made a recovery and returned to training.

The 24-year-old shared a photograph from his first training session back and revealed it was a ‘great feeling’ to be back.

The striker will have to regain full match fitness before getting back into the team but the club see the derby against Besiktas in the Turkish Cup semi-final return leg as being a realistic return date.

Janssen has struggled to find his form since his loan move to Fenerbahce. The Netherlands international striker has netted just four goals since his move.

Fenerbahce are unlikely to make the move permanent at the end of the season while Janssen doesn’t appear to be in the plans of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
